Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers are used to fill out lines and wrinkles, accentuate the contours of lips, restore sunken cheeks to normal shape, reshape noses, and help with the definition of weak chins.
As an example, one of the most commonly used fillers is Restylane. Restylane is a natural substance, hyaluronic acid, and is present naturally in the skin. The restylane used in the treatments is not from a human or animal source.
During the filler treatment, restylane is injected into the area being treated, with a very fine needle, after the application of pain-relieving cream or, if necessary around the mouth, a stronger anaesthetic.
The treatment will take from 40 to 60 minutes depending on what's being done.
